Costco: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Anybody pick up there Verizon Note 8 from Costco yet? Mines delivered this morning but they told me I have to wait for them to call me. I know that Verizon is giving them out if they come early.

Costco mgr agreed with me that it was ridiculous they wouldn't release it to me since it was a pre-order and was shipped on my behalf. The mobile dept just rents the space from Costco-it's not actually Costco. We spoke with their corporate rep who said those receiving the phones early are illegally installing the SIM cards if they're activating the phones-he actually said that. I informed him that they're being delivered preinstalled. They wouldn't budge so I left.

They literally called me back 5 min's later and said since people are receiving them across the country then I can have mine. So I turned around and picked mine up. RIDICULOUS.

Christmas time is when the deals start.
I can't wait, but usually most carriers will give a TV or some gift card away. I know I can't, but if you can put it off until then, you'll get VA better deal on all the Flagship phones.

I picked mine up this evening too. They told me that they got an email from Samsung telling them it's ok to give to the customers. Lucky that I went in to ask otherwise I would have to wait until they call me. It's best to go in person. Show them the tracking number has been delivered page on your phone. BTW, the phone is awesome!

I might have try pre-ordering now if they are releasing the phones. I have a order in at Sam's Club but it's just a generic order to come in on release day so I think there is little chance of getting it early.

I was have been torn between the deals anyway since Sams Club is more ($200 gift card and activation credit) but we don't really shop there.

The Verizon phones they sell are SIM unlocked.
