CPU clock doesn't change like it should

I just may have a bit of a problem with my HTC Inspire 4g. I rooted my device to LeeDroid Rom, and his kernel, and just today overclocked it. When I first overclocked it I used Droid Overclock app. It worked perfectly, but in the past couple of hours, the phone stays at ALMOST the maximum clock slider set. I'm kinda questioning what happened because when I first started using the app to overclock my phone, it would throttle itself back down when the high clock is not needed. I also do NOT have the scaling set to performance I have it set to ondemand, but it doesn't change much at all with each cpu scaling setting that I choose. I've tried restarting the phone too, as well as deleting all overclock profiles that I had, it still stays at either the maximum slider clock or right below the maximum. If anyone knows anything about this issue or how to fix it, I would be very appreciative.:)
