Cracked my screen, can I move display down and not use top portion of screen!?

Hi, so I dropped my Cubot X18 plus and the majority of the screen is working fine but the top navigation bar keeps receiving phantom touches and getting stuck dragged down until I lock and unlock device.. Is there any way to squash the display down to a certain portion of the screen and not use about an inch at the top!? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks..

Back it up before it dies completely and get the screen replaced would be a good move

The only way to move the display down the screen would be to rewrite the Linux screen handler in the kernel.
