Cracked screen... cheapest way to repair it?

I used thin strips of the double-sided adhesive sold by the same vendor that was selling the screen to stick down the edges. I used a very thin film 3M product to stick the capacitive buttons to the screen.

One other small thing if you do use double-sided adhesive to hold down the screen: Don't cover up the proximity/light sensors at the top. If you do that, your phone's screen won't function properly when in a call.

Right. I spent a good bit of time cutting the 2x2"-ish material into little strips.
