Create Link

I need to create several different links on my Android Lolipop home page that point to a url in Chrome.

I open the page in Chrome and select SHARE. Next I compose an email and send it to myself. However I cannot copy the url to MY DOCUMENTS on my phone or create an icon that will open the url. What am I doing wrong or is there a better way of doing this?

Open in Chrome the page you want to create a shortcut and tap the three dots top right. Select "add to home screen".
