I have 4.1.1 on an Archos tablet, with an inbuilt e-mail app.

How can I clear the app of all messages (e.g. like Ctrl-A Del in Windows)? AFAIK, the only way is to click on each one individually and then delete which takes ages.:(

In case no one has said, Welcome to the forums!
Do you have an icon with three lines near the top? That is a clear notification button. You should also be able to swipe notifications aside. Otherwise no clear button?

Thanks for your reply. The only similar icon are three vertical dots, 'Settings'

Worse, after manually deleting a post, one by one, they go to the recycle bin, where I have to do the same again. I cannot swipe posts, either.

Sorry, I misread. You mean the email app itself?
