Best Buy's sales end on Saturday and new sales start on Sunday.Sale at best buy is over. I waited too long.
Of course the price will drop some over the next quarter and each subsequent quarter....The question is..How Long Are You Prepared To Wait

If it is not on sale today, check back next sunday. Sometimes they run online specials in the middle of the week and with new years day coming up, they may do a sale for the holiday.But will it go on sale soon ?

Or just wait for a sale. I bought my first Note 3 on release day for $90 on contract. I bought my second Note 3 on Black Friday weekend for $200 with $200 visa prepaid card.
If you were looking for no contract pricing, the Verizon Note 3 was $300 or so from amazon earlier this year.

My monthly bill is high enough, I don't need to add $30 a mo or whatever to pay for a phone.
If no sale in the near future I may consider trading in my at&t iphone 4s to Verizon. I read somewhere they give $200 for any carrier iphone 4s is that true? I know best buy may give $90 or so granted it may have to be in good working condition which mine is (besides being jailbroken which may or may not be frowned upon in this situation)

The S5 will not make a price difference on the Note3 pricing. The S5 isn't in the Note category.
