Currently use a Fenix 3HR and it takes a beating. How tough is the Active 2?

I'm looking to update my 3HR (sapphire). Going to a Fenix 5 or 6 isn't going to happen because of price. The 3HR takes beating as I'm a mechanic. The only time it comes off my wrist is when I need to charge it (7 days) or I need to get into really tight spaces while working. Other than that it's on my wrist.

Even walking I sometimes hit the watch on the corner of a table with arm in full forward motion. After 2 years the screen is in great shape.. the bezel has some wear and scratches, but that expected from a watch.

Also how does it actually do in the water?

You'll scratch the screen like crazy if you don't get a case or screen protector.
