custom notification problem

Hello

I have problem with setting custom notifications on my Honor 50 with android 11. I can’t set it for viber notifications or for specific contact (default app for phone contact).

When I choose notification sound it shows blank select sound window for part of a second and than it goes back to app.

Welcome to AC!
What if you long press the app then tap info>notification categories tap >each sub menu tap to change the sound notification?

Where did you download the notification tone ?
Make sure you put them in your Phone File manager folder under notifications

Thanks for quick reply.

If I long press I don't get info it only show last contacts on viber and fauvorites, new contact etc at contacts. Should I change any setting?

I put notifications tone to notifications folder. But I can't even choose defaults one from the phone. Can't even open setting as you see on video.

Oh wow not even the default ones ,try safe mode but it will turn off 3rd party apps but u can try phone app

It worked in safe mode for contacts. And ringtone stay saved when I rebooted it in normal mode. But still same problem for viber. Any other idea?

You can try resetting app preferences
Go to settings>apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>reset app preferences then reboot

Is it only Viber now the issue after booting out of safe mode?
