Question Custom ring tones in version 10?

My relatively new phone with Android 10 seems to lack the custom ring tone feature. The contacts I loaded from my old v 7 phone still have the working tones, but no option for custom ring tones appears in the new edit contact page. Is there a toggle somewhere to turn this on?

There's no "toggle". It's supposed to be a standard feature.

But it may depend on the contact app being used as to where setting a custom ringtone is. So, it would help to know what the phone is, and if you are using the stock Android contact app, or one made by the phone maker.

For example, Samsung makes their own contacts app (replacing the generic android contacts app), and you have to edit a contact, then further expand the editing page to get to where the custom ringtone is set.
