Custom text tones?

My mac will not recognize my phone so I can access the SD card. How can I load custom text tones? I can easily load *ringtones* via dropbox by simply clicking "add" from the appropriate menu, but I don't see this functionality for text tones. Any help?

I used to use ringo to set different ones for people and used ringdroid to make them. both free app store just turn off main sound in phone to silent
