Custom tone for TXT message

S10 running Pie.

I want to use my own "sound" for TXT message notification.

Which directory should I use to copy the sound file?

Internal Storage, inside the Notifications folder. Just remember to use supported audio files.

To get your sounds to show up in the "pick a notification sound" dialog, place your MP3 or other sound files in the "/Notifications" folder. (Note the capital N.)

From the phone's Settings app >> sound >> default notification sound
or
settings >> general >> apps n Notifications >> notifications >> apps >> [your sms app]
or
in your SMS app, see the appropriate settings section

If things are not working, which SMS app are you using?
