When did Verizon start closing custumer service at 9 by phone? I called around 9:10 for an issue and they said that it closes at 9 and tried to direct me to chat with them instead.
The no wait is probably why they shut it down at 9, not enough call volume to justify the later hours.I first noticed it a couple months ago in mid summer. The later evening was a good time to call... better reps and usually no wait.
I think it was 2 or 3 years ago, it's been a long time since they dropped the 24/7 support.
