AC Question

So I decided that with Android OS 4.1.2 I wasn't satisfied, and decided to root my phone and do a backup. I copied the files in the backup folder of Rom Manager and wiped the floor on the phone, back to factory. But upon reboot, I didn't have the option to flash back, and I only stored some of my pictures properly, and no contacts. I'm getting the "No MD5 file" error.

I backed up another image upon reboot and noticed some files in it not present in my other- two files with the words cache, a .md5 file, and a nandroid file. All the other files look the same.

I saw elsewhere on the internets that Rom Manager may not install CWM properly and won't allow an install, but I'm not sure about restore. I'm pretty much a noob at this. And my Restore/backup options aren't showing on reboot, but the "restore backup" feature from the mainscreen is what I used.

Basically, is my data all gone, or do I have a chance at a restore?
