I just thought of more questions...sorry!
When I ODIN CWM, do I need to check re-partition and also add the pit file?
Do I do the same ODIN process like I did flashing CWM for CommRom, like removing the battery?

Same process for flashing CWM like you did for Comm ROM. Battery out, use the PDA button, never the PHONE button. You do not use the pit file and check re-partition when flashing CWM in ODIN. You only use the pit file and check re-partition when you are going from one of the MTD ROMs (CM7, OMFBG/OMGB, MIUI, or jt's vanilla gingerbread) to a BML ROM (any touchwiz based ROMs like Comm ROM, Evild Fascination, the EC09 leak) and you are flashing it with a full verizon stock ROM tar file such as DI01, DL09, EB01, or ED05.

So I was going to update my cyanogen mod rom today but I was in such a rush to do it I removed the sd card before unmounting and of course it breaks.....so I had to delete everything off of it and now my phone says it's mounted and good to go. The problem is when I boot into cwm and try to a nandroid back up it says the sd card is not mounted. I also can't mount through cwm or even update cyanogen mod. What can I do?

Try formatting the card in the phone before doing anything else.

Thank you guys for helping me get in the right direction! I just flashed CM7 w/ Glitch low setting version. tested the phone call and my wife heard me just fine and also can tell a big difference in performance...especially compared to stock. I flashed gapps but still had to download gmaps and gmail...does this mean it didn't take? I'm assuming that's the case. I didn't see a task manager app...is there one or is there another way to close running apps? I tried changing the theme in theme chooser, but all i got is a black screen. How can I fix this?

There is no task manager built in like with stock samsung phones. There are options you can download from the market. The theme chooser is a place you can house all your themes you want for the CM7 build. Here is a complete list of available themes for CM7:

Some are free, some cost a few dollars. The fascinate uses HDPI themes. You download the theme to your sd card and it is then viewable from the theme chooser. All of the HDPI themes are listed in the second post.

After messing around with CM7/Glitch LL I noticed that my phone is staying awake. In Battery Use I'm using 60% of email (Gmail, Yahoo, Bellsouth, Microsoft Exchange). In Spare Parts I'm running 93%. Is there anyway to remedy this?

Also, I tried recalibrating my battery but with no success. I typed su bstats in TE but said bstats not found. I also tried in CWM but it didn't say complete. Please help b/c I'm loving this ROM and I want to keep it!

EDIT: DLed Battery Calibration and now battery usage:
email 85%
cell standby 8%
phone idle 3%
display 2%
juice defender 2%

Battery went down from 100% to 79% in around 7 hours while I was asleep...Should I flash a different Glitch kernel? Would that help?

No In call issue for me....been on it for a few days. No real Crazy issues at all. Any idea why I can't reinstall Google apps based on your instructions? I've tried a few times, but I'm not seeing gapps anywhere?

I can't seem to connect to my home wifi (very weird). Everytime I turn it on on my phone, it would actually kick my laptop off of the wifi connection and had to restart my wireless router. Has anybody experienced this and/or know how to solve this problem? Thanks!

When I'm on the phone (talking to someone), the volume is WAY low. Any idea on how to change that? Oh, and yes (In Call Volume) is turned all the way up.

It's a known issue with no ETA on a fix.

There are certain kernels that improve in call audio. Check out JT's v3 kernel on rom manager or the imnuts kernel.

Question for LandShark re CM7

Landshark, you are the guy I trust here, I have told you that before.

Can you answer these questions for me: are all major things working right in CM7 like gps, camera, etc? how does it compare to comrom 2.1? is it worth switching to CM7 in your opinion? is there anything you can do to avoid CM7 messing your SD card?

I have been on ComRom for a few months now, happy, but my phone is starting to get too many FC and other issues and I feel like I could use a clean start. I have been curious about CM7 since it came out for the Fasc, but I am a little scared I guess.

The SD card issue was on the EC09 GB leak, not CM7, so you shouldn't have any issues with that. It's really a great ROM, very smooth. But ultimately it is up to the end user on which ROM is best. My suggestion, give it a try for a few days and see how you like it. If you don't like it, try something else. Just keep in mind if you switch to a different ROM, you will need to flash back to stock DL09 using Odin with the Atlas 2.2 repartitiin file, as CM7 converts your file system to a different format. It sounds intimidating, but it's really not that bad

Thanks kevin, should I download the latest nightly cm7? how should I restore the applications? I do have them backed up with titanium backup.
