Cyanogen is playing tonight! :)

I'm Hboot .79

I don't know what you're running, but obviously your are rooted, follow Calma's link and you should be set! It will update you to the newest OTA for a base and bring HBOOT back down to .76 which is what you want! Super easy...Calma's link is just like updating your phone manually and it install RA's recovery along with it! You should be set to move forward after that...you shouldn't have to flash the radio image from Cyan's links because this brings you up to the latest as well.

WTF do i get that krap from!?

Isn't this the second PC36IMG.zip in the root process, the one that you download as eng-PC36IMG and then change it to PC36IMG, then flash it??????

It might be a shot in the dark, but flash that puppy one more time and then try to flash cyanogen after that

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like the dudes behind me have the right idea

This one will take you back to 1.17...my link above brings you up to 1.47...which isn't completely important unless you want to flash the radio and custom recovery and such separately. My link includes it all in one updated zip.

I would download the one in my post...this includes all updated files...the 1.17.651.1.zip will require you to flash the recovery and radio separately...the stock 1.47 includes all of this.

Much nicer here than the wolves at XDA, I'm still scared to post anything over there!

How to start over: Fully rooted stock 1.47.651.1 in one shot (no adb!) - xda-developers

from your link,

Note: This process will only work if you already have the engineering HBOOT. (If you have NAND unlocked, you already have it and can proceed confidently.) If you'd like to check the actual version, you can boot into HBOOT and look near the top of the screen: it should say HBOOT-0.76.2000, not 0.79.0000. If you have 0.79.0000, you will need to do Toast's Part 2 first before starting here.

I'm new to this so I apologize if these questions have been answered...

1) If you root and flash this ROM and they update it, can you easily update the ROM or do you have to flash the updated one meaning re-installing your apps and data?

2) On this build, does the hot-spot feature work or do you need to have 4G working first to use the hot-spot?

XDA is a very dificult place to get information, it takes alot of reading and trial by error

Good catch Calma! ^This is correct!

Pardon my ignorance guys. I had previously rooted my phone and installed the Fresh Rom. I would like to install this new one for Froyo, but want to make sure I'm taking the right steps. I have used SMS and Call Log backup to back up those things as well as Titanium Backup. I know I have an older radio, etc... Do I just need to do a wipe first before I install the new Rom or do I need to install something else first? I apologize for the newbie type of questions. I am trying to read here and at XDA to make sure I do this right.
