Cyanogen is playing tonight! :)

your fist step
******this step will change your Hboot

3, 4, 5, & 6 — mtd-eng.img + PC36IMG-1.17.651.1.zip

This is the essence of Toast's part 2. Follow the instructions in that post, but stop after the reboot following the flash of the PC36IMG.zip.

--------------------------------------------------

Then you can proceed to step 13
if you do step 13, it won't work because of the disclaimer on step 13:
Note: This process will only work if you already have the engineering HBOOT. (If you have NAND unlocked, you already have it and can proceed confidently.) If you'd like to check the actual version, you can boot into HBOOT and look near the top of the screen: it should say HBOOT-0.76.2000, not 0.79.0000. If you have 0.79.0000, you will need to do Toast's Part 2 first before starting here.

Pardon my ignorance guys. I had previously rooted my phone and installed the Fresh Rom. I would like to install this new one for Froyo, but want to make sure I'm taking the right steps. I have used SMS and Call Log backup to back up those things as well as Titanium Backup. I know I have an older radio, etc... Do I just need to do a wipe first before I install the new Rom or do I need to install something else first? I apologize for the newbie type of questions. I am trying to read here and at XDA to make sure I do this right.

Yes you will need to do a full wipe...WIPE DATA+CACHE+DALVIK

Word to the wise: Go into advanced WiFi settings and change the sleep policy to "never." It's set to "screen off" by default (unlike most custom ROMs), and doesn't seem to reconnect when you turn the screen back on after it goes to sleep otherwise.

Dude i just Restored with NAND... I just dont have the Correct Hboot...

folllow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715915

my previous post is the only way to change the HBOOT, all the threads I read sends you back to Toast Part 2.

Thank you. I wiped and just installed and everything looks good. I see that I don't have Titanium Backup as an app already. Do I just need to download it from the market and then it'll recognize what it had previously backed up?

Yes sir, just get it from the market it will locate the Titanium Backup folder on your SD that it saved it to previously.

Sadly after reading Calma, I think you're right...he's going to have to go and do Toasts part two...which is a pain in a$$, compared to simple root or unrevoked...but it seems that it should take care of it.

Haha, when pressing the little android widget to see the different tips, one is

Iphone
Your holding it wrong. Always.

Anyways, this ROM is fast as hell!!!! Keyboard is VERY snappy!

Something is not right...I'm just throwing this out there, because now I'm at a lose...did you do a full wipe?
