Cyanogen troubles on initial reboot?

Nope, I assume that is in the ROM manager app correct?

No... radio's do not load as part of the ROM... you need to flash your own. However, if you go from one Gingerbread ROM to another the radio should work and you will not have to flash another.

To flash the radio, download one, rename the zip to PG05IMG.zip if it's not already and place it on the root of your SD Card. Boot into Bootloader: power off your phone... Turn the phone back on by holding down the volume down rocker and the power button at the same time until the phone opens in bootloader. The zip should start running and updating the radio. Once done reboot the phone on and remove the PG05IMG.zip from your phone or move it off the root of the sd card in another folder... I recommend just renaming the file to something like MR2PG05IMG.zip. If its not moved or renamed after the installation it will constantly keep trying to update the radio if you ever need to boot into bootloader again to get to recovery.

Well, I am in the Clockworld recovery menu in the boot enviornment. I am attempting to install the mr2.5 zip file. Update soon.

Changed the file name again and did not include ".zip". I am in the update enviornment right now. Standy by for update.

now if I could just get my actual exchange to work. have no clue what the domain should be, this is a personal account

You must load the GAPPS file to get the Market on your device... as I explained earlier the GAPPS file contains the Market as well as some of the main Google Apps... you have to flash this zip file just like you did the ROM to install it. Then you will see the Market, after you start the Market it will give you a list of Google app you can load right off the bat.

I don't know anything about exchange... you'll have to Search for Exchange setup, or I'd probably start another thread if you can't find something via Search.

I really wish questions and help that is needed for a issues like this would stay in the threads that were created for them (like the CM7 1.4 thread) it is much easier for us to help you guys if it is all kept in 1 place :-)

Good point-

My course of action was unrooting it back the stock sw, then rooting again and not installing a ROM yet, I want to make sure I have all the necessary info for a fully functional ROM. I assume radio, rom, gapps, etc. The catch is that I am not sure where these are located for all of the different ROMs available as I am still a rookie.

The ROM release threads almost always have all of the corresponding files (gapps, radios, etc) - and although some of them may be lengthy (the threads are updated with each revision, so there isn't a new thread for each version of a ROM), reading through a few pages will provide you with links to alternative radios that others are having success with.

I've been where you are, and it's a bit overwhelming at first, but once you dig into a thread you'll find all of the advice, links, and descriptions that you'll need. :D
