Cyanogen's Nightly Builds

Cyanogen said on the XDA thread that something was wrong with the 7/24 battery as well.

Someone was like "I'm getting worse battery than 7/23"
And he said "I hope so" and then he said something about a problem or something.

Sorry I'm being vague...

Vague, indeed, but thanks for the heads up, none the less. At least I'm not going insane... LOL

Stock Cm6 7/25 ... not overclocked.

Linpack - 36-40 Mflops
Fps2d - 50fps, 9.18 stdev
Dotty - 5 multitouch points
Quadrant - 1289
Neocore - 26.9 fps

All is lookin' good. Similar to previous builds.

I just cleared cache. Dalvik Cache wouldn't clear for me... guess it was already cleared or something.
And then I flashed 7/25 build.

Wipe still needed for mms to work. Oh well.
Facebook sync with Accounts & Sync not working. The app works... I don't know what else to check with that.

Edit: Will report on battery later.

If you'll do all those tests for the builds from now on, I'll be glad to put that in my updates. I think that'd be useful to people too, especially since my updates aren't really changing at the moment!

Yeah you could use that.
I usually post this at XDA... but this time around I just copied here.
I'll post it here too from now on.
I'm generally up to date with nightly builds... might be a day late sometimes.. lol.

Though I haven't found any differences between the last couple builds in terms of scores... nothing too different.
I hear if you overclock using SetCPU to 1.1ghz (around there)... you can actually get past 40 MFLOPS and around 1500 on Quadrant.

Edit: Oh and the 7/25 build includes the market fix. I think? That's what people say on XDA. I'm pretty sure I see the full Froyo market, but I did the market fix before updating to 7/25.

I haven't had any problems with my MMS app at all. I haven't been doing a full wipe but in the beginning I used to.

Don't know if the has been posted or not. I'm running 7-25 and if you pinch on the home screen it takes you to leap view like with sense.

Heh, that was already there before.

Wow, what hardware version (0002 or 0003?) and what screen (Novatec or Epson?)

I got 0002 and I dont know what screen. I got 1366 on quadrant also. That was OC'd to 1152 though.

am I missing something? I have been on XDA the last 2 days and I can't find any of the threads about cyanogen. did they all get removed or what?

on another note, the 25JUL10 build is the best yet. i had some serious battery issues from 23JUL10 and 24JUL10. but this one is right back to giving me 12-14 hours battery with moderate to heavy usage.

Okay just cleared cache and flashed it.

-Linpack : 36-40MFLOPS
-Dotty: 5 multitouch points
-Fps2d: 50fps, 8.84 stdev
-Neocore: 27.0fps
-Quadrant: 1277
-Gears: 51fps
Nothing different in benchmarks.

Differences I noticed:
- Camera app has MANY more settings. Check it out! If you get an error, reboot and try again.

Camera settings now include ISO, color effect, quality, MP, anti banding, metering mode, brightness, saturation, contrast, sharpness, restore to defaults.

- That's it for now :/

Also, an mms fix using adb WITHOUT WIPE:
1. adb remount
2. adb shell rm /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db
3. adb reboot

Loving the wide angle on the camara settings, also the more options for mp size

Yeah... RC 1 is out..
How funny it went from nightlies to RC1, heh...

I'm wondering if the RC1 is the latest nightly...

I'm kinda thinking it is. I installed it and it seems the same! But I guess there's no need for a changelog for the nightlies anymore! :(

RC1 means release candidate 1, yes? Does this mean that it is up and ready for flashing without super tech skills?
