I was able to run quadrant and i got just over 2000. but my phone keeps force closing apps and its just not running smooth. i'm going to give rc2 a try and then maybe snap 7 or 7.1 again. has anyone else tried 7.0? i saw a couple people running 7.1 so i wonder if .0 will run on our phones

ya guys i would run with RC2 for now until bugs get worked out, ya gotta remember the snap kernel was based on the 8 14 build...

idk what i did wrong now. i installed rc2 and snap7.1 and the market keeps force closing. i thought i forgot to install it so i downloaded it from the rc2 page and flashed it and its still force closing. so i rebooted. still fc

doing a nand restore now. not sure what i'll do from here.

Are you flashing back or are you doing a nandroid restore? You may have to fully wipe. Before flashing a new nightly I always backup mu previous set up. Just for this reason alone.

I did a nandroid restore to get back where i was before today. I will probably try everything again. i did do a wipe before i updated to 8-16 but not rc2 which was right after that. maybe that was my problem. I'll give it another try after a couple beers.

try using snap7.0... 7.1 may be messin up gapps...the UV part may be givin it a bad code or the such...

I had the same issue. I replaced 7.0 with 7.01 and the issue is gone. Not sure what is wrong with 7.0 but the market was pretty much useless.

I had installed a brand new sdcard, did a full wipe. flashed 8.17 nightly and then formatted my card for snap 7.0 and flashed that. the phone was VERY fast but I need my market!

Get the real Android 2.2 launcher on your HTC EVO 4G

Yeah, ADW is nice, customizable, etc., but having the stock FroYo launcher just makes things feel complete to me. I'm just not a fan of the stock app drawer.

Installing the stock launcher replaces ADW completely since its the primary Launcher in CM6 so one would have to re-install ADW to have it back.

I want to make sure that I understand what this means. Does this mean that the current setup is pretty much what they are going to include for release. From now until release expect bug fixes instead of content changes?
i.e. Is it likely to be a while before I can get some 4G love with my Cyanogen MOD? Note: I'm not asking CM for any type of ETA. I know better. I was just hoping that those of you who know more about development and release numbering might be able to help me understand what this means a bit better.

He's Working on it... Gotta give him time the Source wasn't release until Recently...

All right guys, as long as no one has objections, to shorten my first post I'm gonna cut it down to the past 10 nightlies instead of having every single one since the beginning. I will however, keep my record of all the nightlies so if you want a record of the changes from the beginning you can PM me and I'll give them to ya! Let me know if you want me to keep them up, if not then it'll be a shortened version!

uhh....wtf.

Just flashed to the latest nightly from rom manager (8-17-2010) and now I am getting this force close error message randomly or everytime I try to type in something anywhere.

"The application [japanese letters] (process com.android.inputmethod.pinyin) has stopped unexpectedly please try again."

This sucks cause im at work to. Going to have to wait till I get home then im going to try to manually flash the latest nightly again or try a different one. Anyone else have this problem?

Edit: Rushed home during my lunch break and flashed 8-14-2010 to use with snap. Seems to be working just fine. I have no clue wtf is up with 8-17-2010 nightly. I flashed that again BEFORE I flashed back to 8-14-2010 and I got the same error message.
