So I've looked around the internet only to find there aren't any pictures I would believe to be a Droid 2...the one I just looked at looked similar to the Droid but with a silver case over the touch screen part of the phone...are there better pics somewhere else online? If not how exactly are ppl getting all this covert black ops info about this phone

The car dock will not work with the Droid 2 because the current droid car dock clamps down on the chin of the phone. But the new droid 2 has a slightly different chin. the screen and keyboard both have a chin extension that will cause the car dock to not fit over its new chin without some custom MOD work.

The multimedia dock should work, but they may have moved the magnetic sensors. so it may not go into car dock mode.

They probably did this so they can get more sales on new addons.

I don't think so as the shapes are different and I believe the location of the USB connectors will be different.

According to the latest reports, the new D2 dock will work for the Droid. No confirmation on Droid docks for the D2 yet. I'd put my money on no, though.

I had a Droid 1 on hand when the spec sheet and user manual for the Droid 2 leaked, I checked and the buttons and ports were in the same position. The official docks from Moto might not fit, but car mounts that fit the Droid 1 like the Arkon Mega Grip will work.

It will probably be a Storm 1/Storm 2 thing with the accessories not working even though they are almost the same.
