damaged SD Card

I have tried this with both of my failed cards.
My Win7 netbook will not recognize the card in either the SD slot or the USB adapter.

I am beginning to doubt there is any way to recover/restore them.

Good information! I was able to save over 900 songs downloaded over a period of time using the suggestions. The most helpful, suggested going to start, computer, and clean up the card using tools. Worked great! Thank you.

Try rebooting phone multiple times, re-insert sd card ..worked for me with similar corrupt messages . No issues.

You know what? This happend to me too and you know what i did? I removed the sd card....i licked it and now it works perfectly...gosh i didnt knew my tongue could do those kinds of miracles xPP

There can be many manual tricks to perform like blowing dirt out of the SD card, assigning a new drive letter, perform CHKDSK command or upgrade to the suitable firmware. But for information in details you should see this info graphic

I made an account just to post a solution.

The error: I bought a new phone (Huawei P9 Lite) and immediately put my old SD card in it. I used to have a Samsung Grand Prime. I had all the errors listed in this thread.

I tried all the solutions listed. I couldn't even analyze the card for errors in my laptop. I put the card in my old phone and restarted the device several times. Then I put it in my laptop again and restarted the laptop with the SD card and adapter still plugged to the laptop. Unintendedly, Windows said it was fixing the F: drive before restarting the computer (the SD card letter had changed to an E:, but I couldn't edit the drive letter either). After restarting the error was fixed and I could access the drive.

Edit: I have Windows 8
