Is there a way to get the stock phone app screen to show the dash separators in phone numbers? I do not like appearance of a string of 10 digits with no separators. Thanks.

PS: Looking for a solution without root.

You can put them in that way. Never seen anyway to automatically do it.

Your device is not removing them, is it??? I think if they don't have them in your Contact (People) list they will not be there when they are displayed.

Actually my contacts in the People App show up as (XXX) XXX-XXXX but in the dialer (incomming, outgoing, history) show up as XXXXXXXXXX. Pet peever but I'd like to fix it. Basically because it is easier to memorize if you need to with separators.

This annoys me too. During a call (in or out) they show up as 3034498573. I'd like to see (303) 449-8573, or 303-449-8573. Much easier to read. 100 percent of my contacts are entered as (303) 449-8573. Yet, when I call someone from my contacts, the number displayed on the calling screen is 3034498573.
