Data Usage- Does it include WiFi data?

I ask because i've been at home on wi-fi all day today, and watched a youtube video. When I checked my data usage via settings, it said youtube has used 40MB of data. It was my assumption that the data usage tool only tracked mobile data- is this not the case? I'm looking back at previous days and it's saying my podcast app has been doing something similar, even though I make a conscious effort to only download podcasts when at home on wifi.

I'm running Cleanrom v 5.0

On my phone I can include WiFi data to be shown or not in settings, data usage, hit left menu button. Check what you desire.

WiFi does not count toward your data usage.

Only mobile data counts towards your data plan's monthly total.

Yes, I get that part. However I think it's reporting data I use over wifi as used over mobile network in the app.

Download "3g watchdog" if your rom is measuring everything.
its not as slick but if youre on a limited plan, itl save u.
Have you written to the dev about this?
