Data usage per month

whats the point of a buying a super high end phone, if you arent going to use browser and youtube.
just get a feature phone and save yourself the hassle

Great hints everyone! I guess Masreti missed my point, I want to make use of the data rather than have the phone automatically use the data. That means using it when I want it (as cheaply as possible) and not have the phone chew up bandwidth while I am working or sleeping. (16 hours a work day the phone can be just a phone and not a computer) Not having the phone constantly updating while I work and asleep sounds like it will really save the data usage for when I want to use it.

So far I have had to work pretty hard to pull done the battery as well. (work days I am sure weekends out on the town would be a different story)

thanks,

Well, 20 days of pretty heavy usage even 2- 15 minute breaks of streaming pandora and I am averaging 8 megs a day. That is over my 6 meg a day limit but not by much. I think I will be able to live with the cheap plan. I will probably change it next month to the $15 plan. I download apps at home with computer internet pass through and I turn off everything but the phone while I am working and turn on internet to check the mail on breaks and lunch. I put a widget for the internet and the ring/vibrate on the first screen and the bar that has wifi/bluetooth/gps/sync/brightness on the other screen. So, it is really easy to toggle it off and on.

I also love my hour glass timer for timing my breaks and lunch... I never thought I would like something so simple so much.

Thanks everyone,
Thor's Gal

If you want to save money on text messages, you have several options. The 2 I like are:

1. Get WhatsApp Messenger - free texting using data
2. Get Google Voice account, where texting is free.
