Day Late Text/Voicemails - Sprint Network or Phone Problem?

I just had a recurrence of a relatively common Sprint problem. I received text messages, voicemail, and missed call notices that were a day late. I had just done a power down and battery pull to replace a depleted battery and received a bunch of late notices. Just for yucks, I did it again a few hours later. More late notices including one of those annoying "Sprint" notifications with their yellow logo. Maybe that was the source of the problem.

This seems to happen every now and then and I had this problem with Sprint long before I had a smart phone. It's just been a good long time since the last time it had happened (thankfully). I think one of the issues is that I keep my Epic 4G on 24/7 and I probably need to start powering it down and doing battery pulls at least once per day.

Has anybody had this problem with Sprint? Chicago area. Variable signal strength from no bars to three bars out of six.

Stock Sprint Epic 4G GB 2.3.6 EL30.

Sprint's been messing with their towers a lot this past month, so signal issues have been rampant. If it's a recent issue, I say just wait it out.

It used to happen to me alot when i had my samsung moment switch to a evo never had a problem again it could be the phone

It happens occasionally... Its normally due to carrier's towers. Sprint is currently according to reports in the Chicagoland area working on the LTE upgrades. So I would expect some strange happenings every now and then while they are powering up LTE and shutting down towers they are taking out of service.

Thanks for the quick reply. At least it's good news that Sprint is upgrading to LTE in Chicago. Let's hope they keep Wimax running as long as we have our Epic 4G's...

My issues haven't been directly related to the latency of incoming notifications, but it seems I have been having trouble with my 3G connection while in roaming. I happen to work in the communications business and my work sometimes involves me to work at cellular towers. Full bars, constantly in/out of 3G signal.

Common Sprint issue? I am quite new to the Sprint network.

I've spoken with advanced tech support at sprint. They r revamping all the towers. So u will expect some odd things to occur for a few days. Including with voice (calling)

I've been having this same problem recently, as has my wife. I have the G1 Epic, she has the G2 Epic touch. (In the Chicago Area) Mine has been much more noticeable as I work out in the boonies and she works in the city, while we live in between (New Lenox, by Joliet).

We live on the far south side and the signal has gone to crap, often going from full signal to zero signal and back again, constantly dropping calls etc. Been about a month now its been happening. Glad to see their is a reason. Somebody built a new cell tower (no idea which carrier) halfway between my home and work (I work in the boonies) so hopefully it will help some.
