Daydream/Currents

I've setup my Nexus so that Daydream is active when it's on charge and I've chosen to display currents. (It's handy to see what's going on in the world while I'm at my desk working).

However I've noticed that the news and events it's displaying are well out of date. Some read as current news but actually relate to events that took place weeks ago.

Have I accidently turned off a key setting somewhere?

I've noticed with Beautiful Widgets and a couple of other apps, Daydream doesn't update. I'm beginning to think it's not a problem with the apps, but with Daydream itself.

In the settings for Currents, make sure Enable Background Sync is checked.

That will however impact battery life, though as its on your desk I'm assuming that it won't be too far from a charger.

Same observation here, I set the Daydream to just show my alive video wallpaper instead.

I've set daydream so it only comes on when the Nexus is charging.
