Daydream VR Promo from Verizon?

Free Daydream Promo ended on the 19th, so only available for pre-orders. I didn't even know about it until I read some forum comments. I made it just under the wire w/ my pre-order done the evening of the 19th.

Other folks said they got a coupon code to use to get the headset.

Verizon told me mine is in process and that I will be notified when it ships.

How has it worked for you guys??

Plugged in the code GOOGLEGIFT as it said on the Verizon website. Received an email saying it was submitted.

I just tried and it said unable to process try again. I don't really care that much though on principle I tend to collect whatever freebies companies are giving out, especially with expensive purchases, but I can't tell if the site is just down or if I am too late or what. Oh well, will try again and see.

Verizon CS told me to submit it again next week, since they were having issues. Tried to upload receipt and got an error.

I preordered 2 Pixels through Verizon, still waiting shipment though, I'm wondering if I have to do the promo code twice somehow, maybe with my wife's email separately, or will they just see I ordered 2 Pixels and send the 2 when I enter the promo code?

So now the rebate center looks entirely different than it did yesterday and they wanted the UPC code from the box, which is fine, but when I put the GOOGLEGIFT code in a notice came up that that promotion was no longer available. Was this one of those, as long as supplies last things?

I just tried this again, through the original email from Verizon that announced my shipping and the tracking number and the promotion and it worked. The acknowledgment said would contact me around 11-7. Apparently the rebate center is not where to go.

I never received an email from google. I just put googlegift on the Verizon rebate page and did everything that it asked for. My status detail shows "We're working on your submission. Please check back in a week for an update." Did I do it right? I never got any confirmation e-mail...

I didn't get an email but when I first put the code in on the Verizon site a popup came up and said I would be contacted by November 7. I forgot to check what if anything it says now. But so far no emails.

Your rebate tracking number is #####

Sounds like they are sending a card to bring into a store for the VR which is cheaper on their end. Saves on shipping costs.

Dang I submitted mine the night of the release day and it says check back in 7 days when I just checked it. At least you gave us hope that they are working on them.

Yeah been pretty lucky with this whole deal so far. Ordered it 2 days before the release, Verizon shipped it that night, had it on the 20th. FedEx even dropped it off early. Then had a small account issue, Verizon gave me a credit for the problem which paid for my tech21 case and the glass screen protector. Now I got that email confirmation. And the best phone yet of course!

I haven't been lucky today... Verizon said my Rebate was invalid. That my device doesn't qualify.

I ordered my PixelXL within a hour after the MadeByGoogle event on the 4th. The Verizon Store didn't even have pricing entered into their system, but I got it ordered. When back on the 6th and paid for the taxes and fees after they got the pricing entered. then got mine on the 20th and they activated it for me. was the 1st one from our store. Right after that I finished my rebate promo submission for the Daydream View. Used the Receipts they gave me from both the day I paid for it and another copy on the day I received it int he store. Also Uploaded the Barcodes. All was legible.
Yet...
For some reason my submission for it was declined.

So I called them up this morning. The customer support guy from the Rebate Center reviewed the receipts & Barcodes I gave them and looked at my account and said that I did qualify for it. He told me that he would resubmit it for review and that I would hear back from them by Friday. Said I could still use my same Tracking number to check it. Yet... It still right now says that it is Invalid. The status has not changed. Now I am wondering if he did not resubmit it. I really hope I do not miss out on this. After all I order mine on day one for preordering at Verizon and followed the directions to a tee. Was even told that it was valid by the Customer Support. So if I miss out because of someone clerical error I will be pretty upset.
I also contacted Verizon Customer Support through Twitter and we exchanged a few DM's. They said they were also going to look into it. I hope they do.

Anyways... If the status of it does not change by tomorrow I will be calling them back. Its a bit frustrating to say the least.

You'd get a VISA Prepaid card if they ran out.

That's actually better. Can get the Dream if you want, or use it for a PD charger, or whatever else.

I ordered mine the day before the end of presales, but got it on a corporate account (paid out of pocket), don't think I qualify.

I received a E-Mail from Verizon shortly after I got the tracking number for my Pixel when it shipped. Filled out the promo and submitted the required information the day I got my Pixel, on 10/20. As of today, my status is still "received" and they're working on my submission. Verizon told me this evening (their promo/rebate center) that it takes up to three weeks for submissions to be approved, even though the status page may say, "Please check back in a week for an update."

So now, I wait. For another one and a half weeks...

So is it a card to redeem for the vr or a prepaid card? If it's a prepaid card I may preorder from the online store now to avoid the rush or order it from bb and use the prepaid card to pay my bill
