Daydream vs Active Display

I noticed that if I have it docked with Daydream on, Active Notifications don't work. Is there any kind of setting to change it so that Active Display intercedes when I get a notification?

This will determine whether I purchase the official dock or not. I would also want active notifications to intercede.

Currently no way to do that as far as I know. I turned off Daydreams because of this but at night time I just jump in the clock app and turn on nightmode which is the same thing so I have a clock at night since I don't really dare about checking notifications overnight.

I thought I still got notifications while in daydream. I will test this out tonight.

That sucks. That's a deal-breaker for me.

I only my power dock when I am going to sleep as my nightstand clock/alarm. It will still allow calls so I am ok with that. would be nice, however since you cannot turn off vibrate when you get a notification I am glad it doesnot show them.

I do the same thing. I mainly want the dim clock on at night.
