Basketthis, this post by KSmith might help you. http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...-hacks/59427-confusing-update.html#post597930 and http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-rooting-roms-hacks/56967-lego-rom-40.html#post594660 Although I haven't found a post that explicitly said they went back to stock, updated with lg-updater, re-rooted, loaded custom recovery, AND flashed Lego, KSmith has apparently done everything except the Lego part.

Helpful. And from what I read, its VCROM or no rom with the new lg update. I guess that's all that I (and possibly many others) don't understand.

Just hacked these up. These are all the Lego ROM Build.prop files edited in such a way that OTA should go away, for now. (Until the next update)

Thanks so much for putting those together zefie. I didn't want to have to deal with the VC headaches quite yet, and now I don't have to worry about accidentally clicking "Install Now" and screwing my phone over.

FYI, beezy posted a flashable zip on the ThundeROM thread that gets rid of the OTA prompt.

Tech Info:
Spoofing VC version instead of V9. gmsversion param at bottom seems to be the kicker.

Usage:
Just download and flash like you would from Lego ROM.

Before you ask:
No, this does no update you VC.
No, this does not update your baseband.
No, this does not require you do be updated.
No, this probably won't fix the HFA bug that VC Baseband has on V9 roms.
Yes, you can use it regardless of what version Baseband or ROM you have. Even VCRom.

All this does, is update what version of their software LG thinks you are running.

DOWNLOAD STOCK - This is the stock buildprop that comes with the ROM. No JIT, H/W, Wifi, or stagefright.
DOWNLOAD JIT ONLY - This only has JIT enabled
DOWNLOAD ACCELERATION ONLY - This only has acceleration enabled
DOWNLOAD STAGEFRIGHT ONLY - This only has stagefright enabled
DOWNLOAD JIT & ACCELERATION - This has JIT and Hardware acceleration
DOWNLOAD JIT & STAGEFRIGHT - This has JIT and stagefright enabled
DOWNLOAD STAGEFRIGHT & ACCELERATION - This has stagefright and acceleration enabled
DOWNLOAD DELUXE - This has acceleration, Stagefright, and JIT enabled

Remember to thank or even donate the occasional dime :)

Is this the same thing as OTA-Stop_Buggin.zip from the ThundeROM thread? It doesn't look like it moves the otacerts.zip file like the ThundeROM version does, but the ThundeROM version doesn't include all the updates to all the buildprops - it just has stock, deluxe, and no-jit. I've been using jit-acceleration. Which can I use to get rid of the nag?

Both should work. Actually just flash the zip i made which will rename the otacerts and then flash one of the build.props that zefie posted and you shouldn't have any issue.

i tried to use the Dark Horse by Kfunk from XDA Developers theme and it caused me a bootloop. I use a pin screen lock so thats maybe why.

I was so freaked out when i thought i wreaked my phone i thought that i should warn everybody.

You can't flash a theme from a different phone. You have to pick up a theme from post 2 of this thread. Reflash lego rom and you'll be on your way.

Did you use the Dark Horse theme modified by Nick7 from, like, post 3 in this thread or the one directly from XDA Developers? The one from this thread shouldn't cause a problem. Others are using it.

Edit: Quick Nick

So I flashed the regular deluxe buildprops after flashing your OTA fix. Is that bad?

First off, big thanks to all the great devs involved in this rom, been using it for little over a week and loving it. Liked it so much i suggested it as news articles to android central and phandroid, and a few other tech sites because the collaboration in this rom is definitly something newsworthy.
Anyway, orginally i had the jit and acceleration builddrop, and darkhorse theme, with the redlegoromboot animation. i wiped my cache and dalvik then flashed the anti-ota deluxe buildprop to get rid of the update notifications, and when i rebooted the phone it hung on the red lego boot animation for a few minutes, continually running it, each time it seemed go faster then the last...i was worried ...but i pressed the back button and it went to my homescreen just fine but the update was still showing up. this was a few minutes ago so not sure if its going to come back again, but just wanted to know if i did something wrong or if this sounds normal, thank you for your time and hopefully i didnt mess anything up

I have a similar thing to the bolded part happening on my phone, the legos break apart and fall, but they skip back and forth at the end until I hit the home button.

I just stared using this rom last night and it rocks!! But can someone explain the kernel a little more, I think from the posts I've read that they also control the boot animation, is this true? The other thing I want to know is in the 3erd post for kernels what speed is the stock speed, I don't want to burn out my phone by ocing

Thanks againg for this awesome rom!!

Just set up your animation after the kernel, and you should be set.

600 is stock speed. I highly recommend one of the build props to improve things even more (jit/acceleration works well for me).

Just got the ROM installed. Everything went smoothly. I did the VC update through LGMobile Update. Got it rooted and put on the custom recovery. After it booted up with the new ROM, my data isn't working (can't sign into Gmail to setup my account). And it keeps trying to perform "hands-free" activation. What do I need to do?

Restore the nadroid you should of made before flashing. This is because you are running the newest radio and it doesn't like to play nice with the older set up. We are tryiing to work around this so that everyone can be on the newest radio without having to unroot and root again.

Big Thanks!!!

I just wanted to say thanks to all of the developers!!!! First smart phone, first root, and experience working with ROMs. You guys have made it so easy and I thank you for that. On top of that my phone now spits fire!!! A little confused about the new update so I'm just holding on for the ride. Keep up the great work.
