Running the lg keyboard and am unable to input words into the user dictionary.it says that it is not registered...am i missing something?

It's because it's a keyboard pulled from a different LG phone that your not registered to run it on this phone, and because you're not supposed to, you cant add words to the dictionary that aren't already there.

Security measures ... gotta love them I use that keyboard about 30% of the time now and dont have any issues with it not having a custom dictionary. I use it for things where swype stinks like passwords or terminals.

thanks is there a way to have the keyboard automatically change to the one you want for certain things? like for passwords i dont like using lg and would like to use android or swype bc lg isn't a full keyboard and you have to push the same button over and over to get certain letters while for texting i prefer this lg keyboard and t9 like oldschool phones

unfortunately no . There is an app that switches keyboards if you're holding the phone in landscape or portrait but nothing right now that recognizes specific applications or specific fields.

I've been using SlideIt keyboard (something like $3-4 in the market). Works like Swype, has great word suggestions, doesn't pop up every 5 minutes with a "hidden word" notification like Swype, and has a little slider in the corner to enter right into a normal (non-slide) keyboard mode. I can use the one keyboard and between the two settings, not have to change back and forth using the long-press, input method.. method. Check it out.

....sorry....i was debating about asking this since i dont want to make it seem like the other ones arent good, which isnt the case.....it just slows down a bit more when i use them.....

Delete the 3rd party file you put in place to substitute the original boot animation.

Easily done with root explorer BTW. Costs a couple bucks but well worth the $

1) Open root explorer
2) Go to data/local
3) Tap the r/w button in the upper right hand of the screen
4) Delete boot animation.zip

Should revert back to gradient android.

Thank you. I dl it but it didnt delete the old sprint boot animation just played it after the.sprint one.

Aldo is there any fix for the browser stop bug. Every time I hitqthe stop button when a page is loading it forcecloses the browser... Very annoying

Is it alright to use the new version 006 of zefie's kernel with this ROM (for the updated drivers... I'm praying for some proximity sensor tuning in there somewhere)? If so, would it be the usual Zip Flash like any other (he stated in the separate thread that there's a new init script or something to that effect)? Also, if there are issues, I'm assuming downgrading by just flashing back one of the usual kernels from post #3 would do the trick? Thanks.

I too just noticed this bug...somewhat annoying but not that big a problem

Updating Swype to the latest beta version has worked wonderfully in regards to the frequency of the hidden word dialog box popping up. It occurs much less frequently.

The production version of Swype will need to be removed prior to beta working properly. Here are instructions of how to do that:

If you would still like to try to uninstall Swype on a production devices you will need to delete or rename /system/app/Swype.apk and /system/lib/libSwypecore.so before installing the Beta. I will stress that this is NOT SUPPORTED in anyway. Some firmware has other framework customizations by the carrier that will cause further complications if these files are removed. If you try to uninstall Swype from a production device and break it the only advice we can give you is to seek instructions on how to reload your device with the stock rom.

Ok i wanna describe this issue I had last nite. I sat my phone down and didnt touch it for like 2 hours (i watched Inception). Went to grab it and it was hot. The screen took like 20 seconds to come up. and when it did I had force close after force close. I pulled battery as I couldt get it to reset. When it booted back up it started the sync. and it didnt stop. it caused everything to lock up and FC. so i pulled battery again. this time when it started up I turned off sync and it was fine. Once I turned it back on (sync) it froze up again. So I went to thunderrom for now.

I have a few issues with it and I was wondering if they've been fixed.

- The stock browser FC when you try to stop loading a page.

- Incorrect Password/PIN/Pattern reboots phone.

- No option to select input method in Settings->Language and Keyboard

- New mail message notification, but no new mail in inbox. (Yahoo mail).

Also, is there a changelog for the Lego ROM? [edit - duh first post]

We have a fix, and will be implementing a fix but the fix must be modular and not change the other options you've currently flashed. Remember, if we simply update the base ROM and tell you to flash it, you now need to reflash the kernel, the buildprop, and the theme as the ROM would wipe all those out.

Non-ROM related. new email notification without new email?
