Ah! thankyouthankyouthankyou! I find this ROM with Xionia v13 to be the best solution so far, yet, using angry birds as a game benchmark I still experience extreme lag in certain later levels at the beginning and after impacting a structure with my infuriated fowl. Seems strange to me, considering that neocore gets a solid 50fps on the phone and quadrant a solid 610.

I noticed the biggest increase in lag after rooting in VC then updating to VD (I have new LCD hardware, btw) particularly in Fruit Ninja as well as AB. Where it was smooth as heck upon first receiving the phone (600 mhz) now, after rooting, running updated VD, and OC to 806mhz, fruit ninja is actually considerably SLOWER, and though I never tried AB beforehand, I have the feeling it too has slowed considerably.

I'm not claiming this to be any of your fault, of course. I'm merely asking if you have any ideas why this might be? I know its probably something LG implemented into their lovely VD update which caused the problem.

I must say, I also noticed that the phone was more snappy before updating. This clearly isnt Nick's fault, as TR is the same way. I noticed even on the rotation speed of the phone, it takes a few seconds for the screen to show back up. I have a feeling that is something to do with the VC/VD update.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. This is an issue for LG to fix.

Funny thing is though, even when using CM7 for a few days (switched back because of the proximity sensor issue) it still felt similar, in a way. It was a bit faster in certain apps, and AB's lag when a bird hit a building was greatly minimized, but for some reason now the whole game was ALWAYS jittery and laggy. Like, as a bird flew across the screen it would jerk back and forth as the bird flew, or any time an animation occurred it would be quite shaky.

Try Xionia kernel 007 or 005. It has the old drivers.

It seems like the new gallery keeps on FC'ing on me. I copied back the Gallery3D apk from the previous release and everything is working fine again...
Just curious, is this Gallery the one pulled from the other forums? I remember I tried that one and that keeps on FC'ing on my device too.

Once I click connect, it tells me the SD card is safe to remove. I just upgraded from V9 to VD, so that may be leading to the problem. But I also upgraded to v1.6.1 so I'm not so sure..

Anyone else have this problem? Just looking for advice thanks!

Yeah it's a known issue with Xionia kernel. After you are done with USB storage navigate to settings > SD card and phone storage and then press mount SD card. I'll make sure it is fixed in the next release.

I am running the 1.5.1 nrom and i went to upgrade to the lastest 1.6.1. all i keep getting is something that says hands free activation can not be verified and i have to contact customer service. also, it leaves me stuck in 1x mode and not EV. I am in a full 3G area and never have had a problem to where i have to be in 1x. is there something im doing wrong or is there something else i need to download to fix this. any help would be great!

Rom's been running great, thanks for all the hard work. I have one bug/issue to report that i was hoping you might be able to fix. When in contacts and you click on a person's icon their facebook status text is unreadable because it shows up as black text. I'm running the modified stock froyo theme. I included a pic to show you what i mean. thanks again!
