I have not seen 1 boot hang since I've switched to Pica's kernel

Even Zefie recommends using Pica on nRom

Runs just as fast and quite solid - have done many reboots and not 1 boot hang yet.

i have a problem ....after launching browser and browsing through the internet ..that the browser just closes on me .(not force closing).. any ideas ?? i even installed dolphin browser and it still does it ? any help would be appreciated

A good start would be to go into recovery and reflash nROM. That has always corrected any of my problems.

Hey nick, just flashed back to your ROM from Scott Pilgrim as I want to use my new bluetooth headset.

Before, with ThundeROM, when I longpressed on my bluetooth to activate voice dialing, it pulled up the sprint voice dialer. I see you got rid of that and instead only have voice search, which is GREAT. I hate the voice dialer, and the voice search, (long press magnifying glass), is much more powerful.

One problem....trying to voice dial with my bluetooth now gives no response, as you got rid of the sprint one. Do you know how to fix that? (I'd rather not flash the zip to bring back the sprint voice dialer, as it sucks, and I much perfer your new button layout).

Wait for my next release and it'll work. Since the market and maps were updated you reflashed nROM and it erased them from data. This update will fix it.

I'll look into everything else.

Thanks for your hard work Nick. Got a quick question for ya - have you ever considered incorporating the TWS bug fix into your ROM like they did for ThundeROM? Or maybe I missed it and you already have? It looks like they have a PATCH available for the issue now as well over at XDA.

Yeah I might. I'm going to overclock nROM too. After a bunch of testing I decided that there isn't really any downside to it.

Last time I checked the fix from ThundeRom does not respect airplane mode, so if you are on a flight and turn your phone on it will turn the Radio on. If you have Tasker there is an easy profile I made that fixes this. On boot it checks for Airplane mode and if not on it will flip the radio off and on. If there is a real fix for the bug in nRom it would be nice.

1.6.3 only makes it to the nROM screen after flash and sits there for ever,
the bar below stops moving after a bit and it just hangs.

comming from 1.6.2.... with wipe data, and without.

I will redownload and try again!

OK, did some googling, found it's impossible to make Bluetooth talk to Voice Search.

I want to keep your button remapping, but I want the sprint voice dialer back on the phone (but not mapped to a button) so bluetooth can work with it....any idea how to do that?

Hmmm, tried deleting the /usr from the voice_dialer.zip and flashing it, (disabling signature verification)....didn't seem to do anything. Still no voice dialer app and bluetooth won't activate it... :-\

Ugh what a PITA. This script to remove previous versions is making it act flakey.

Just open up ES file explorer, go to menu -> settings root options, and check both boxes (use HIAPK style). Then navigate to /system/app and click on market and/or maps (depending on what isn't installed). This will re-install them from /system/app.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll get a fix for that.

Is anyone else having a problem with Mediafire not serving up the file? It's just sitting at the "loading bar" and not doing anything.

Is there maybe another mirror with 1.6.3 (preferably not ftp as my work shut down port 21)?
