Guess what, I can make calls and send texts with wifi on... and receive MMS, as long as i have a cell signal still!!!!!

I'm trying to test different bluetooth fixes so I can stop hearing about everyone cry about it....

Zefie your awesome! i thank you for taking the time for a phone you dont even own anymore. i wish i were more understanding of how it all works ild help out, sadly im just an artist if i could contribute that .... but anyway im hooked here and even if i try other roms i know ill be back here as long as it is alive. sorry just tierd of people not being happy with creativity. MOD on DEVS!

as far as i know bluetooth never worked for us, but mik said my recent change would break it. so for us no big loss.

have you tried flashing boot.img from build 0404? just to rule anything out. if it works i'll figure out how to restore the files

May 8th I'm getting rid of my optimus as I'm tired of flashing roms and buggy software... I'm going straight to nexus s. Cyanogen is a nice proof of concept but its never 100% working and there is always annoying bugs and when one if fixed 2 more show up. I'd rather have something deeply tested and straight from Google... hence the Nexus S 4g.

The optimus will go on ebay

use Button Remapper from xda. you want to edit all the keys except power and turn off any "WAKE" or "WAKE_DROPPED"
i did it manually, so i'm not 100% positive if this supports our device.
if it doesn't work, i'll explain the manual method so let me know

Thanks, this worked for me; however, you must disable "Hot Reboot" in the settings; otherwise your phone may lock up and you might need to pull the battery.

To sum it up, Anything that has hacks applied to it and isnt made specifically for the hardware will be unstable. Like my Hackintosh. OSX is not unstable, the hacks are.

My iPad never had a system crash until I jailbroke it.

Android is just a bunch of hacks by the manufacture applied to the Google Source.

Until Google themselves makes a phone, and doesn't just slap the Nexus name onto a phone bu a 3rd party, Android will suck. End of story, since i don't feel like retyping my 3 paragraphs of not-as-douchy explaination.

But is it not the point this whole android OS thing for hackers, by hackers. IPhone doesn't offer enough anything. I give you a week before you jailbreak it. I'm a noob here... but I tell you once you hack you always go back.

Hey yall, I'm new to these forums, but I have been using zeifies cm7 for awhile, and I did the 4/26 update and my hotspot was broken, thought nothing of it, and then flashed the 4/28 and it is still popping up with "error" whenever i press the enable button... Any ideas?

if it works post about it so I can stop stalking the board for the update that fixes it lol. it's all that's holding me back from the 4/28 update as I use the tether everytime my Xbox and roku fight for bandwidth.

I've switched over to Nameless Rom... Scott's Awesomeness brought my phone to a crawl. Started off well, but without installing any additional apps (other than google apps), two weeks into my install I was lagging BIG TIME.

Nameless has been holding up strong. I just like the CM7 port because my BT HID keyboard works, so I was hoping to see some progress here. Bummer.

One of my relatives has an LG Optimus S and I'm considering helping him install CM7. Is the CM7 ROM ready for every day use?
