ARCHIVED: [DEAD ROM]The Scott Pilgrim ROM (CM7 Gingerbread, Zefie Edition)

Another issue is, for some reason when I take or make a call, the screen locks out and I have to either connect or disconnect my charger or remove my battery.
Didn't have this problem on ThunderRom. Can anyone tell me why, and if others have the same problem?

A quick and dirty fix for this is checking "Always Use Proximity" under "Settings->Call Settings".....it's most likely your proximity sensor freaking out.

flashing this should work

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20227845/Oldboot.zip

If it doesn't let me know, ill remove it. Or someone else can troubleshoot it. I just took Nick7's zip and stuck the old boot animation in it. Should work, I haven't tried it though, i like the new animation.

Not signed, but it does work (I got bored waiting on my ride after work so I flashed the latest nightly just to make it exactly like the old one :( )

On that note, noticed some heated stuff going on about boot screens... calm down guys D: Some people like the official CM7 boot (I like the awesome skateboarding blue Android :D). Some people like the Scott Pilgrim rocking out to a guitar boot. As long as both can be flashed, regardless of what stays as default, I really don't see any issues (well, aside from the custom boot preventing us from getting this to be an official CM7 port, but if Zefie doesn't want it to be official yet, then there's nothing to say the new screen can't stay :P)

Do really appreciate the work that's being done, and do hope that nobody gets the wrong idea by myself stating an opinion/asking a request. Not everyone has the time/skill to be a ROM Cooker (I know I probably wouldn't be able to do this, even if I did have time :P), so some of us do have to live with just suggesting things.

Is there any way to get visual voicemail back? I cant find an icon, but voicemail does work and this is an awsome rom!

The only way I was able to get it back was by:
flashing my 2.2 nandroid backup, boot 2.2, using file manager went into system/app and copied the vvm app (cm-android.apk for me) to my sdcard, then using titanium backup, backup the vvm app and data. Flash cm7 back (nandroid) and install vvm from sdcard (remove any version you installed previously first) then use titanium to restore data only. Reboot and it should be working. Found this in a few different threads. Tried a few things first but this was the only way I was able to get it to work.

I second this..many thanks to all involved in bringing all of us this awesome work.

Stock Sound????

Anyway to dump dsp and use stock sound? I love this rom, but I use my phone as my main music/radio source all the time.......

Man. I swear that some of these demands are comparable to that of a senior citizen at a Denny's, using their discount, while still demanding Trump hotel food. OK my analogy sucked..but ya get what I'm saying.

So camera says it can only zoom to .5
Playing with it I found if you tap on the screen a couple times it will zoom in a lot more. It'll still show it at .5 but its a better zoom than sliding the bar to .5

I donated cash to zefie... you?
Are you really gonna ask one of the guys that has a hand developing all these “maser pieces” IMHO if he donated cash to zefie like you did? This is the kind of unappreciative bullcrap I cant STAND. Though you are making me start to doubt what I am about to say anyone of us can show appreciation for the work these guys do but few of us can do the actual work. Nick logs time in making the end product that you are using and complaining about. If you don’t like the product then you can unroot and use something more professional like the bloatware Sprint tried to stick you with. Keep on running your mouth and I’m gonna make these guys kick me outta here and tell you what I really think.

P.S. I have donated cash and a lot of thanks to every developer on the forum so don’t even try it bro…

Not looking for base changes for all..... I tried uninstalling dsp, which didn't work, and was wondering if there was something I could myself to remove it. I love this rom and was just looking for a way to fit it best for me for now( isn't that one of the reason the developers do this? Why we do this? To personalize and optimize the phones for ourselves?). Because I don't have the knowledge, skills and talents to do what cooks like nick7, zefie, KSmithInNY, beezy, mik_os, the talents at xda & sdx do( yeah, i am a noob. this is my first android, though before rooting my 670 I swaped my old BB for a hero that some kid didn't like, to practice on), I absolutly appreciate all that they do.

+1

I have been mulling over similar sentiments all night for a proper response but your comments say it all. (If they kick you out, I'm going with you!) I'm sure Nick doesn't need us to defend him but I certainly don't mind doing so. I would like to add that just because you donate to a developer, it does not entitle you to be rude and demanding. Many of us have donated to the devs here because of the work they have already done, not for something we expect them to do.

this is lame, but can someone provide a very basic, step-by-step installation process for someone who has never hacked their phone before? I might be able to figure it out given the instructions above but I don't want to screw up! Thanks a lot in advance.

One thing I learned when I started to read and post on these forums is that the search feature helps a lot for the people looking for help and the people able to help. That being said the 2 threads that come to mind is http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...-guide-rooting-software-version-ls670zvc.html or http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...enter-1-1-001-no-longer-need-android-sdk.html depending if you have updated to VC using the LG updating tool or you have a phone with V9. If you have any questions at all you are more than welcome to ask pm me all you want.

Okay, so I'm a moron. Should have paid more attention to the begining of this thread.....then I would have checked out the issues thread and found the info I was looking for!

I found that using DSP's bass boost on moderate and then using the Mixzing app's built in equalizer has made my sound acceptable. I had to tweak the EQ in Mixzing to my liking, but it's working pretty well.

I don't know how to "sign" things, not even sure what it is. Again, i just modded nick7's file, so if you haven't caught it yet I don't really get all this stuff. I'm a little lost when it comes to programming. I'm still working on high school. But hey, i've got all A's!

Haven't touched mixzing yet.....will do. ThanksThanks
