followed the directions to the t. when ever my phone restarts it gets stuck at the sprint screen. I can get into recovery but when I try to flash thunderom it gets it goingthen gives me error E:falure at line7: symlink toolbox system:bin/lsmod

Perhaps an md5 sum of the zip file on the download page would help to make sure folks get the right version.

I'd like to second this request for an md5 checksum for the V1.8 download. I had a problem with a corrupt V1.7 download and I'd rather not repeat that experience!

It's at the official ThundeROM mirror site (http://www.digital-ops.net/ac/tr.html). The 3rd post temporarily has a mediafire link instead of linking to the mirror, but I believe the mirror now has the most up-to-date version of 1.8 hosted.

I have a question. I am running this rom and using Handsent sms and I want to disable the installed messaging notification. Is this possible?

any help with this... with the lg update it says its on the most up to date version but when I boot the phone it loads the sprint boot animation then gets stuck where it says sprint at the end and thats it. I tried force updating it but it gets stuck on the checking model. and when I try to reflash TR I get the error from above

Try force flashing back to V9

Try force flashing back to V9

finally got the force flash to go with the vd update. took a couple unplugings for it to go but now the screen has the lg logo n says download in progress do not disconnect and it is at 26% on the updateer. Hopefully it goes all the way and I can flash TR again. When It would get hung up on the checking software because all I can get into is recovery I would just unplug it real quick and it skipped it I guess

I don't know what is up with the MD5 that is currently posted on bone. Maybe it is mismatched from a previous upload. I re-downloaded mediafire and bone just now. My bone MD5 is same as yours (ie doesn't match the MD5 posted on bone - 29F61C1705FC4FB4F737C72C6AA52AAB) My mediafire MD5 is the same as the one I downloaded 2 days ago.

I've only installed the one from mediafire, which I suspect is what most people are installing since that is what the 3rd post points to. That is the one I would stick with.

Go into the stock messaging app, press menu > settings. Uncheck notifications.

I've only installed the one from mediafire, which I suspect is what most people are installing since that is what the 3rd post points to. That is the one I would stick with.

I've downloaded two copies of TR1.8. One has the 13e... md5 sum and the other the 3bd... sum.

My understanding from the above post is that the 3bd... sum version is the one that should be installed and that the md5 sum at Official ThundeROM Distribution Portal is no longer valid.

I compared the internal MANIFEST.MF from the

Bone Enterprise download (13ef806a6aeca8788ba0524f4ee8333c)

against the

Mediafire download (3bded9efa724da73d8130f075081be15)

and they are exactly the same.

That means the files in the update are exactly the same and the difference in MD5 sums is accounted for on the archiving (zip) side.

In my opinion, both zips of TR1.8 would produce the same results, but I would stick with mediafire (3bd) because that is what most people will be using and testing with due to the link in the 3rd post and on the very very remote chance something is different, better to go with the one more tested.

Not sure if its just me but i am having a problem with apps backed up with titanium. seems that the apps that were moved to sd or were on the sd like angry burds. dont install properly with this rom. I came from cm7 nightly. but cleared everything then flash this one. actually even some apps from phone memory also did not restore app data. like notes everything that i have been using since i got this phone in jan. allways transfered over before fine. even from cm7 builds.

VC vs VD

I have successfully upgraded from v1.7 to v1.8. Nothing scary happened to me like went I went to v1.7.

A quick question, though. I show:

baseband version LS670MVD_60401001
SW version LS670ZVC

I had VC when I did the upgrade. Is this what I am expected to see? Do I need to get my SW version to ZVD or am I good how I am?

Use the LG Updater tool to update to VD, then flash TR 1.8.

I love this ROM and everything is working great with the exception of tethering.
I generate 2 errors:
Starting softap
Activating WiFi Interface

This Rom is awesome and Flawless..i'm just having a problem with the new Tethering App - it's probably me, but I can't get my Galaxy Tab to recognize the AndroidTether SSID .. it doesn't even show up. I followed the settings.. Optimus S profile.. Adhoc etc.. Could the problem be the Galaxy S not seeing the Ad-hoc?

The ROM itself is perfect as far as I can see! Great work!
