Question?

After performing a complete wipe through thunderc recovery 1.1.0, and flashing the 1.5 version of ThundeROM, all of my apps were already on the phone, except the three that were on the sd card. They had however lost the data that was attached to them. I wiped data/factory, cache, Dalvik cache, SD:ext, and .android secure.

Does the new ROM look into what Google has recorded about applications installed on the phone at its last state, or did the recovery not wipe as it confirmed it had?

Thoughts, Opinions.....

Thanks for the ROMs.

Is it possible to keep links to the older versions? I prefer to run a lite rom and I can't see any way to download 1.4.

Data/factory is what did that.

No. See comment above.

Can't flash sure to a corrupt /system/bin/bash in the update file :(

Is it possible to increase number of home screens? with all the goodies you guys are adding, I'm running out of home screens to keep everything :)

How do people organize their screens? Do you use folders, etc. Seems like 5 is not enough for me

Alex

LauncherPro allows more home screens, max of 7 I think...that's what I use. You will have to put all shortcuts and widgets back onto the home screens though, since those don't transfer from launcher to launcher.

I went to 7 screens on LauncherPro, and also increased rows and columns to 5 icons, (std is a 4x4 grid, but you can change that with LauncherPro). I found that going to 5x5 grids meant I didn't need 7 screens at all, (I could probably get by with 4 now), but if I remove the extra screens I'm afraid I'll have to reorganize everything, so I just live with blank screens.

Installed this last night, pretty happy with it so far, though:

Looks like screens are supposed to have a flip away animation but it's laggy.
Need a note for initial boot time in the instructions, it took forever , and if it hadn.t been for my case I'd have done a battery pull.

Other than that, looks pretty nice, and I've noticed speed improvements on my phone. Going to do a discharge today, see how battery life is. But nice work :P

When flashing a rom or update on reboot its going to take a bit longer than norm at the splash n animation bootscreen...notice while in recovery after flashing it will say something like 'writing boot' etc.

I did see that, it's just there's nothing in there for people that are doing it first time :P Not everyone has experience.

Downloaded it again, and I could flash it. Who knows.

I just flashed 1.5 and then the deluxe buildprop so that I could get stagefright in addition to keeping jit. I just took a look at my build number in about phone and it says ThundeROM-V1.5S. Is that 'S' there to tell me that I have stagefright enabled? If so, that's quite useful. If not, what does the 'S' mean. I didn't take a look at 'about phone' in between flashing 1.5 and flashing the deluxe buildprop.

Think it is, just did the same to mine and it's showing a S now.

App change animation is also smooth now, guess I should have flashed everything first D:

Love all the great work guys. Please keep it up, you are making my phone better and better. I have a few notes though:

- It is not clear on the first page what 1.5 flashs as by default (JIT, SF or deluxe). Nor is it clear that if you want to change it you must reflash. A more detailed explanation might be good for some of the newbies.

- The text window for the change log does not show up in the android browser very well, could it be changed back to a normal list? I would like to be able to read it on the go.

- I love the weather widget, but it is too big for what it displays. Any way it could be slimmed down to only take up one row of icons?

That is all I got. I am loving this ROM. Keep the great work coming.
