First off, thanks to the devs for their hard work, this rom rocks!

I do have one issue... is anyone else having trouble with the GPS? I can't get a lock since switching to TR.
You may need to reflash.

However try this first, some people have been told to try and the following app to fix their problem, I personally have not had to use it so do not know if it fixes issues like you are having.
GPS Status & Toolbox - Android app on AppBrain

....The movement seems very jerky and not exactly pleasing to me. If it was just a smooth transition without all the shifting of views I feel like I would enjoy the ROM much more. I'm getting used to it though. While i don't care for the animation, it?s better than no animation at all.

Overall, the experience is excellent :)

I turned them off since I found the transition effects wierd.

I am anxious to put ThunderRom on and get it screaming.

Good luck with that.... I hope you know how to fix your own phone when it messes up on you. There are a lot of people having trouble going back to stock and not a lot of people helping. look at all the unanswered threads of people trying to unroot their phones after installing a custom ROM.

There is a thread that lays it out step by step, I followed them and hat it work fine.

I am a newer Android user and had never rooted a device before or installed a custom ROM prior to installing ThundeROM in early December.

I must admit, I was really nervous but by going slowly and paying close attention as I followed KSmithInNY's step-by-step directions to root the device and, after successfully rooting the Optimus S, then following KSmithInNY's detailed instructions to install ThundeROM I was successful and thrilled with everything about ThundeROM.

I should also mention that KSmithInNY was incredibly helpful and nice enough to answer the questions that I had throughout the rooting and ThundeROM installation process. I cannot thank KSmithInNY enough for his help.

My newbie advice to anyone who has encountered issues with ThundeROM: precisely follow the installation instructions for each and every step; and if you have a question/concern, reach out to the folks in this forum for assistance BEFORE completing that step of the installation process.

Again, thanks to KSmithInNY for developing ThundeROM and continuing to make it even better.

I have a couple questions. Is there any way to test a rom on my PC prior to flashing it on my device? I have attempted to port MIUI to my optimus s and I can't seem to get it to flash to my device. Can anyone help?

Don't say things that are not true at all. There is a couple different ways to return to stock. The details are there for all to read, I personally have used them and kknow that they work. If you can't take the time to read and look for the guides then maybe rooting/roming isn't for you.

Not really the place for that type of question. To the best of my knowledge of you can convert it to a system.img then you should be able to load it in the emulator. Other then that make a nadroid and flash away.

Any possible way to get the other keyboard back from the stock optimus ROM? The non-swype keyboard? It has bigger keys on it that my girlfriend prefers.

I'll make a flashable zip now to replace it,just give me a little time i have to remember where a copy of it is.

Just flash the attached Stock_KB.zip in recovery and reboot, she'll have it back.
