Decided I'm not keeping my G6

It is subjective but coming from a S7 (now I have the V20), the 16MP and 12MP DOES matter, especially when taking photos of landscape and trees, the leaves on the trees and street signs are more clear VS the 12MP sensor which cannot pack enough pixels to show far away details. However, for most everyday shots, it's really perfectly fine. Plus the 16MP is too slow so the lower MP focuses faster.

The Pixel says hi.

Is the camera of the G5 really better than the G6? I remember reading that alot of G4 owners thought LG had went backwards on the camera on the newer models.

It has better detail, and the difference is going to be missed 99% of the time unless you're looking for it.

The G4 outperformed everyone of it's successors in low light situations with the the exception of the V10 i think.

The app on each model has improved on each new model however.

The amount of megapixels does not affect focus speed. The focus method does

Correct. For instance, one of the phones that I have is a Sony Xperia XZ with a 25MP camera (dual aspect ratio), and it's focusing is lightning fast even in very low light.

Only Pixel Peepers will know..... Lol

Just a side note about the G5. I loved mine. It got damaged and filed a warranty claim with AT&T. I wasn't offered G5 as a replacement and ended up with a V20. Funny thing is when, I tried to do my next 18 trade-in upgrade, AT&T said that my phone was valid for trade-in. To make long story short, I was able to do my Next 18 upgrade because I actually had the V20 as a trade-in. They would not have accepted the G5 as a trade-in and would have made me pay the remaining balance to upgrade to my G6.

Then it is firmware. The G4, G5 and V10 all have the exact same Sony sensor.

I had a G5 that I was pretty happy with, but then with the recent weekend sale for the G6, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade for $120. Just got the G6 today and it definitely has a much better design than the G5.
