There was a thread called "help deciding models" and it is now closed - else I would have stayed in there. I currently have a BB Curve and am tired of the browser. My use consists of phone calls, calendar use, texting and following sports. I think I prefer a keyboard so it comes down to Droid 1, wait for Droid 2 or the Ally. Your thought would be appreciated. This is my first post as I generally have stayed on the crackberry forum. Thank you.

My kids love there Droid 1 and never use the keyboards. They try to steal my incredible all the time. Point is the touch screen with feedback feels even better than hitting those dirty buttons.

I used to think I would hate a touchscreen but I got an ipod touch and will never go back. I mean I have a BB curve also and the buttons on the touch screen is so much easier then the tiny buttons on the curve!! I will be getting the X when it comes out!!!

The Droid X hasn't been released yet. Look at previews or reviews (like Engadget's) if you can't decide.

Thank you for the replies. I think I will wait until I can get a droid X in my hands and decide about the size. Was starting to lean towards an incredible but I keep reading about the weak battery and I don't want to be constantly charging the thing up. Also, in my experience, moto devices seem to have the best phone reception - however, the others may have caught up. The droid X sure is generating a lot of threads and posts. I hope it can live up to the hype.

My nephew swears his Incredible battery is not that bad and he is on it a lot. But I am not sure if he was just trying to get me to get it cause we used to have the same phone so whenever he came over he could charge his phone and now he cannot do that!! LOL He did mention one day I should get the Incredible so "he can charge his phone at my house" LOL
But to bad for him I decided to get the X instead! T minus 12 days!!

You do realize that all (or nearly all, iPhone a notable exclusion) phones use the same connection cable right? microUSB was set the standard a couple years ago and phones have steadily been moving to universally adopt the standard. I can't think of a single Android phone since at least the Droid without microUSB (correct me if I am wrong).
