Declined on trade in because of BS reason that simply isn't true

good luck it happen to me when I traded in for the s10 plus looking online you will see Samsung dose this almost all the time, Its the people that work in the werehouse I am sure they are up to something.
It's not Samsung.... It's a third party but that really is no excuse. Samsung should be on top of it.

Nice! How long after they received it did it take to receive the email?
My trade in was signed for Tuesday and hoping to get the email today or Monday :-)

Not sure there is any consistency in this area - some have gotten "approved" email before getting the "received" email.

At least you know it was signed for - step 1 in the process - put the Note under your pillow when you go to sleep tonight and I'll bet you get an email tomorrow (or not)

Thing 1 - Samsung is responsible for their 3rd party - kinda sorta indirectly
Thing 2 - My GUESS - the sales of the Note may have been greater than they were prepared to handle - due to the awesome trade in.
Thing 3 - there is none

My email said some BS about the camera being cracked yet I kept my phone clean with no cracks or scratches. I work in shipping and receiving so when I packed the Note 8 that box was bullet proof.. no way for it to of gotten damaged in transit.

I'v sold many of phones over the years and only did a factory reset before shipping the phone out. Thought a factory reset also removed all of you accounts as it puts the phone back into factory fresh state.

Not anymore. As has been mentioned, doing the reset from the settings menu is supposed to remove the Google account and FRP (so you'd be ok if you did it this way), but there are cases where that didn't work.

Took 8 days for them to tell me this and as soon as you send your return takes 2 day to reach them.

Also if you have more than one Google Account, deleting one won’t delete the others. As stated the reason you have to delete your Google account before doing a factory reset is for security. To remove the account you must provide the correct pattern, PIN, or password. So a thief can't just reset the phone to use or sell.

Great. I just came back from dropping off my Note 9 at Fedex. I did not remove my Google and Samsung accounts before factory-resetting. Am I SOL? How much did they dock you for not factory-resetting?

When I performed factory reset on my note 9 it deleted those accounts for me. I didn't go to accounts and delete them individually. Got my email saying my trade in was approved

My process to factory reset a phone is to remove all accounts then do a factory reset.
