I don't know what's going on but my battery is is significantly worse after the March update on Monday. Where I used to leave work still around 70% I'm now down to 40% or less. Not using the phone any more or less than usual.

I noticed the same thing on my 4a 5G. I thought it might be related to my router as it has been acting up and I rebooted it yesterday. I lost 7% due to wifi in about 2 hours this morning. I just changed from a 5G connection to the regular one and will monitor to see if it makes a difference.

Updates like that can definitely affect your phone's performance. It's a toss-up, because you *want* the latest update but then it sometimes negatively affects your device. Keep us posted on if your Pixel 5's battery performance gets any better.

One of the "fixes" was to fix stuck battery percentages. I know mine would stay on 100% until around lunch after coming off the Pixel Stand at 6 AM. After the March "fix", it now will be around 90% around lunch.

I never had this issue.

I had noticed that the stuck battery percentage fix was among those included in the March update, and can attest that my Pixel 5 no longer stays on 100% through most of the morning after I take it off the Pixel Stand. However, the actual battery life, as reflected in the rate of percentage decline once it dips below 100%, doesn't seem to be any worse; in fact, mine appears to be holding its charge even longer this week.

My battery only drop down quickly when I use 4G on my phone. Check your phone connection

Yeah, I agree. My battery has be fine. Check your 5G connection. I have mine turned off... I'm on Verizon, and in the network & connectivity section, I set mine to CDMA & LTE.

The battery life on my 4a 5g is ridiculously good. I get a day of battery with over 5 hours SoT. I got 9 hours over 19 hours the other day. Wish my S10+ was as good

Yeah, I hear ya! Now, my with my regular usage, my battery will go about 21/2 almost 3 days without a charge!

most people are spec crazy, google balanced everything in the pixel 5 and it is a pleasure to use daily.

Yeah, I agree with you.. Everything is a s/w balancing act with no extras which is nice to me in my opinion.

I'm also getting 5-7 hrs if SOT with like 20-30% left but i game with my kids on the p5 playing roblox and fortnite almost daily as well as stadia although stadia doesn't drain as much as locally installed games because it's the same as streaming video. I also listen to podcasts and watch youtube a lot. I basically consider myself a pretty heavy user and still happy with what I'm getting.

If i don't game or go heavy, man I can go 2 days easily without a charge.

Google really did a great thing here with the pixel 5 imho and agree well balanced as far as performance and battery.

It is true. I just love the pixel experience. I love my Samsung for customisation. I have so much time on my hands that I spend a lot of time with kwgt and icon packs. I also love being able to use Dex to sort my budget out. But my pixel is a dream device. So fast and smooth. Photos are always superb and with this battery life, the 4a 5G is just my perfect phone. I will have it for years to come.

I have noticed that my batter life seems worse also after the update. On reboots I have been noticing a bubble pop up that says "No Internet Connection", even thought the phone is connected fine. Not sure what that is about.
