I changed my Network Mode on my M8 and now I don't know which one to go back to. If I chose LTE only mode I get 4G but can't send texts. If I do CDMA Mode I get 3G and can send texts. How do I get 4G and send texts. I've attached a photo of my options. I'm on Verizon I know they have 4G in my area because I used to be able to have 4G and send texts. Android Version 4.4.3

I use global mode

But doesn't global add roaming fees if you're out of the service area?

No, as long as you have Data Roaming set to Deny data roaming access you will not accrue any roaming data charges. Like the other posters I use global, everything works great for me, and I never get charged for roaming.

Roaming isn't a problem (I tried to allow data roaming in Toronto last week with Global and couldn't get anything. Real pain with no wifi.) but I've found my phone dropping to 3g in areas that are covered by 4gLTE. I need to switch to LTE mode to connect at 4g.

Continued evidence of the error in ever choosing a CDMA carrier. Absolutely no logical reason whatsoever.

They have some coverage all over the country, which is more than can be said for any of the others.
