I have the Amazon 4GB version, and at the end of June I'm still at January security updates. I'm curious if the non-Amazon version gets them more timely? What are others at right now? (Please post your version--Amazon or not.)

Nobody is getting security patches. Moto's track record hasn't been good and apparently nothing has changed. My G5 Plus is still on January too.

Thank you for replying, but future posters please indicate whether or not you have the Amazon version.

My wife's G5 plus received the May security patch some time ago. Brazilian model, unlocked, non-Amazon.

My G5 is the non-Amazon version. I don't *think* the Amazon version will be much different as far as patching goes. But I don't know. Both are unlocked.

I have a non G5 Plus and bought it wiring a week off it being released. All is in January update.. I am not foreseeing much movement with updates. Lenovo/Motorola have a less than predictive updates even security updates are few and far between

The new update is out--May 1, 2017 for the security patch. Still 7.0.

The update process is a lot faster--not sure how much of that us Nougat and how much is the phone. It's sort of scary though because after the reboot it starts flashing between two screens (one says Lovoto), so you don't know if it's doing something or stuck! The big time savings though is it apparently doesn't go through the optimizing apps process.
