Delayed texts after moving from iphone

Hi all. Im new here and im after some advice.

I moved from iphone to samsung back in june and ever since then ive had delayed text messages from everyone inc my other half who also moved from iphone but she has the a3 and gets her texts perfectly fine.

So far ive done a soft reset, a hard reset, a new sim card, de registerd my imessage/apple account, shes never done any of this and hers work perfect.

The only thing i havnt done so far is ask people to change my contact from a iphone contact to a normal number but i dont think thay will make a difference as my other half is using a samsung and hers come through late aswell. This problem doesnt happen 24/7 it could be fine for a few hours then all of a sudden it could start and last for hours. If i reset the phone they sometimes come through but most the time they dont.

The only other option i can think of is to get another new sim but with a new number but would this sort the problem?

Any other ideas would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Try contacting Apple Support and make sure your iMessage account has been completely deactivated. Depending on how you did it initially, it's possible they didn't clear it out completely from the system (perhaps if you used iMessage from other iOS devices like an iPad).
