Deleted Contacts appearing in Contacts for Text messages and Favorites

Hi I recently bought an Inspire 4G as my entry into the Android phone from Windows.

I had a gmail account which used to manage my contacts in my Windows phone 7. I have an unlocked Inspire using Tmobile sim.

Problem:
My CONTACTS display correct data.
SMS contacts does NOT display correct data. When i try to text people, and type a name in the TO field .. all the deleted contacts show up. How is this possible. How and where is GMAIL storing this deleted data. How can i clear this up.

When i search for a deleted contact in my email GMAIL.com.. the name autopopulates, but amazingly returns zero results. All my deleted contacts are autopopulating, but doesn't tell me where it is.

Please help.

Got the answer from another post in the forum. The deleted contacts were stored in Other contact folder. Deleted it from there and synced the phone. All is well. Thanks
