Ok, so here's my problem: I was playing around with my phone because I wanted to see where the file will be saved. I opened an email with a photo attachment, clicked on the photo, pressed the left soft key to bring up options, and chose to saved the photo. Photo was saved and found out that it gets saved to the device memory under Download. Deleted the photo from Downloads, Gallery, and even cleared the Gallery cache. When I open the same email and click on the photo and try to bring up options again, the Save is greyed out but the photo automatically gets saved again! I don't know what's happening. I've been tinkering with the phone trying to find a fix but everytime I delete the photo from every possible place, if I open the email and click on the photo, it gets automatically saved. Hopefully someone can help me with this. It's bugging the hell out of me.

Thanks!

Figured it out. In the event anyone may encounter same problem, you have to clear Gmail's cache and data. Apparently, it's the Gmail app that has it cached so every time you launch the app, open the email, and attachment, it downloads it automatically.
