So it might have been a half-baked idea, but I deleted the Blockbuster app along with the VCast Music and Video apps. Reading about the unrooting required to update to 2.2 I was worried if I wouldn't get the update because I couldn't bare to look at Blockbuster cluttering my app drawer. Am I in hot water here?

i'm sure someone here can attach them for you and you can put them back.

but wanted to say in Launcher Pro's options you can hide apps from the app drawer.

I would check XDA for a custom update patch. At least for the Epic, there are special update packages made that do not require all stock apps to be intact.

if you want the stock OTA, then you need those apps back. you made a backup before deleting them right?

you can either manually re-add them, or (what i'm probably going to do) just use odin to restore or use a stock nandroid to go back to stock for the update.

This is why you never delete anything, always rename it or move it. :)

You can grab it from the stock system dump that's been floating around for months now, I don't think it was updated in DI01, but if it was, just have someone email it to you.

For future reference, renaming the apk to apk.old will remove it from your app drawer as well.

Great, thanks for the help guys, I'll try and figure out Odin in the meantime and see if I can cover some of my tracks.

You could look for s stock Rom zip and pull them from there too.
