Deleting link downloaded to home screen

I downloaded a link to upgrade to Jelly Bean and saved it to my home screen. How do I get rid of it now?

Not sure how you saved a link to your home screen but if it is there, long press the icon representing the link and drag it to the delete icon. The delete icon will appear when you long press.

I was on qbking77's website and was having trouble downloading the zip file for the JB upgrade. I got an option to save it to my home screen and did that, thinking I could just delete it when I was done. Upgrade went well but unfortunately when I long press the link, I don't get a remove icon...dang!! I also don't find it when I go to My Files.
