Hey guys,
I ordered HTC One but apparently they had a typo in their website and it wont be in stock til the 23rd (previously it said the 3rd) of May.
Apparently the developer edition is available. I'm quite excited when I saw that it is only 75$ more expensive while doubling the nand.
However I've read that it is not compatible with any major carrier except AT&T ( fuuuu... what the heck is the point).
I am planning to use my future HTC One with T-mobile's prepaid, the 30$/mo one with unlimited data and 100 minutes of talk.
Can someone please confirm if it is possible or not to use that plan with the Developer Edition ?

Thanks in advance

I'm using my HTC One with TMo's $30 plan right now.
You just need to be careful that you're in one of their LTE or re-farmed 1900MHz area for 3/4G, otherwise you'll be stuck in EDGE.

yes, even i ordered yesterday by looking into it and by morning today order status was 'back ordered' and next shipping date is 23rd May.. i was like what the hellll !!!!
i called shopamerica.htc.com and they told all efforts will be made to supply it by 5/14.
About developer edition of 64Gb, i saw in couple of reviews that its not so compatible with high speed networks in carriers other than ATT.. so not sure.. even i am in dilemma.. if anyone can throw somemore light it would be great..
but if you are with $30 prepaid plan, and its not at all a problem.. you can go ahead and buy one..

I'm also rocking an unlocked One (which has the same bands as the dev edition) on Tmobile's $30 prepaid plan and, since I'm in a refarmed area, I'm getting 3G/4G pretty consistently. The unlocked and dev editions should also be compatible with Tmobile's new LTE network, though I don't live near any of those markets and have not been able to confirm for myself.

Thank you all. Lo a glimmer of hope hath appeared.

I'm sure some of my friends use T-mo here in my area. How do I get them to check if my place is within the refarmed area ?

(Not that I will change my decision of going with the developer edition, I can go with another carrier for a while)

EDIT:
Talked to T-Mo's representative over the phone, gave her my ZIP code and according to her my area has the refarmed 1900 band.
:D:D:D:D:cool:
